The MW1212C is a Multi-Wire Cutting machine in the Prominer CNC Multi Wire Saw family. Multi-wire saws run 100-1000+ parallel wires to slice an entire ingot into wafers in one pass – purpose-built for high-volume silicon and sapphire wafer production. Where the single-wire saw wins on flexibility, the multi-wire saw wins decisively on throughput and per-wafer cost at scale.
Parallel slicing
100-1000+ wires cut hundreds of wafers simultaneously.
Volume economics
Lowest cost per wafer for high-volume lines.
Wafer focus
Primarily silicon and sapphire wafer mass production.
Stable geometry
Stackable cutting with rotary-table options for flat parts.

Equipment Description and Main Configuration
Equipment Name: Multi-Wire Cutting Machine Model: MW1212C Brand: Prominer CNC Manufacturer: Prominer CNC Main Unit Dimensions: Approx. 2100×1200×2200mm (L×W×H) Primary Material: Ductile Cast Iron Processing Objects: Graphene composites, crystals, glass, ceramics, precious metals, and other materials Equipment Structure: Cutting chamber with cast iron frame Slicing Method: Workpiece moves up with stationary wire mesh OR workpiece moves down with stationary wire mesh
Working Principle
Diamond wire moves reciprocally; unwinding wheel releases wire, winding wheel collects wire, entering processing area through constant tension system Main roller driven by independent servo motor provides grinding and cutting power Workpiece rises into wire mesh to achieve cutting Diamond wire reciprocating cycle and single-cycle wire consumption can be set Customizable process parameters for easy recall, reducing personnel requirements and improving processing efficiency
Support & Service
After-Sales Service
Every Prominer CNC diamond wire saw is backed by a 12-month standard warranty covering the machine frame, drive system, and CNC control unit against manufacturing defects. Extended warranty and annual service contracts are available on request.
Our technical team provides remote diagnostics within 24 hours of a reported issue and dispatches field engineers for on-site intervention in major markets. All machines ship with detailed acceptance test reports and spare-parts lists.
A lifetime supply of genuine wear components and consumables — guide wheels, wire-transport assemblies, tensioning systems, and cutting wire — is stocked at regional warehouses to keep your line running with minimal downtime.
Free firmware and control-system upgrades are included for the first two years, ensuring your equipment keeps pace with the latest slicing recipes and safety standards.
Installation & Training
Installation and commissioning are performed by certified Prominer CNC engineers, including machine leveling, axis alignment, and a full dry-run acceptance test against the agreed tolerances before sign-off.
Operator training covers safe operation, wire threading, tension setting, feed-rate optimization, and basic troubleshooting. Maintenance training covers lubrication points, guide-wheel replacement, and preventive maintenance schedules.
Training materials — operation manuals, video guides, and a illustrated spare-parts catalog — are delivered in digital form at handover, with optional on-site refresher sessions for new staff.
Operating Environment & Safety
Install the machine in a clean, level workshop with an ambient temperature of 5–40 °C and relative humidity below 85%. Avoid direct sunlight and corrosive atmospheres.
A stable three-phase power supply and a dedicated coolant / cutting-fluid circulation and filtration system are required. The working zone must be equipped with dust extraction (recommended port ≥ Φ100 mm) and adequate lighting.
Operators must wear protective eyewear and cut-resistant gloves. Loose clothing, ties, and jewelry are prohibited near the moving wire. Emergency stop buttons must remain unobstructed at all times.
